Pricing Chained Options with Curved Barriers

This paper studies barrier options which are chained together, each with payoff contingent on curved barriers. When the underlying asset price hits a primary curved barrier, a secondary barrier option is given to a primary barrier option holder. Then if the asset price hits another curved barrier, a third barrier option is given, and so on. We provide explicit price formulas for these options w...

Bounds on the value of barrier options with curved boundaries

In this paper we consider the problem of pricing European options which contain a knock-out clause involving one or two curved boundaries. Using a change of measure and Jensen’s inequality we derive upper and lower bounds in the form of double integrals, and demonstrate their accuracy with relevant numerical examples.

A ug 2 00 9 Casimir Pistons with Curved Boundaries

In this paper we study the Casimir force for a piston configuration in R 3 with one dimension being slightly curved and the other two infinite. We work for two different cases with this setup. In the first, the piston is " free to move " along a transverse dimension to the curved one and in the other case the piston " moves " along the curved one. We find that the Casimir force has opposite sig...

Pricing Ladder Options with Combinatorics

Exotic options are popular financial derivatives that play essential roles in financial markets. How to price them efficiently and accurately is very important both in theory and practice. The lattice model is usually used to price them. The prices computed by the lattice converge to the theoretical value under the continuous-time model. But the lattice model may produce quite slow convergence;...
